Common questions about billing
How is the $0.55 per home billed?
After your 30-day free trial, your monthly software fee is your number of homes multiplied by $0.55, subject to a $39 monthly minimum per HOA. A 120-home HOA has a $66 base software fee. The invoice also includes Stripe's cost to collect it using your saved card or bank account.
What are the payment processing fees?
Processing fees only apply when a resident pays online. Bank transfers (ACH) are 0.85% per payment with a $2.00 minimum and $5.50 maximum. Cards are 3.5% + $0.50 per payment. They're separate from the $0.55 software fee.
Who pays the processing fee — the HOA or the resident?
Your choice. You can absorb the fee so residents pay the exact dues amount, or pass it through so it's added at checkout. This is configurable per association.
What if we collect by check or cash?
No processing fee applies to check or cash payments, since nothing is processed online. You still pay the flat $0.55 per home software fee for the platform.
What can be charged in addition to the software fee?
Online-payment processing, the cost to collect your monthly invoice, an optional custom domain ($15 per month), and optional SMS or AI usage beyond the included allowances are separate. There are no setup fees, contracts, per-user charges, or feature tiers.
Can we cancel or switch platforms anytime?
Yes, anytime. There are no annual contracts or lock-in periods. If you cancel, your data remains accessible for 30 days to export. We don't hold your community's data hostage.
